「京ラングヴェール」とは?
「京ラングヴェール」は、2024年の春に新登場した京都限定のお菓子です。
比較的新しい商品なので、まだ食べたことがない方も多いはず……お土産に贈ると、喜ばれそうですね。
「京ラングヴェール」の凄いところは、なんと言っても、生地のラングドシャに特撰宇治抹茶の「普門」が使用されているところ。
「普門」は、茶師の段位の中で最高位の「十段」を保持されている酢田恭行さんが監修され、厳選された一番摘みの茶葉を「旨味・苦味・色味」にこだわって仕上げた、至高の抹茶だそうです。
しかもその高級な抹茶が、通常の量の2倍使われているというのだから驚き。
抹茶好きなら絶対に食べてみたくなる一品ですね！
その濃厚なお抹茶ラングドシャがはさむのは、これまた濃厚なキャラメルショコラ。
一口かじると、とろっとキャラメルが溢れ出します。
正直に言って、「お土産」という言葉から想像されるレベルを遥かに上回っています。

賞味期限は?
「京ラングヴェール」の賞味期限は、約20日とのことです。
キャラメルが入っているので高温は避けなければならないかと思いますが、20日ほど日持ちするのは安心ですね。
個包装なの？何個入り?
「京ラングヴェール」は個包装で、4個、6個、10個入りが販売されています。
枯山水をイメージした緑のパッケージから京都らしさを感じますし、上品で高級感があるので、1つだけ渡しても充分喜んでもらえるお土産かと思います。
私が購入した2025年時点では、4個入りが税込810円だったので、職場などで大人数にばら撒く用のお土産としては少し高価かなと思います……大事な方に渡したいお土産です。

公式サイトによると、「京ラングヴェール」を販売されている「普門庵」さんの直営店は、京都市内に2店舗あるようです。
その中でも特にオススメなのは、清水寺の門前にあるお土産屋「普門庵」さんです。
このお店はカフェ「普門茶屋」を併設しているので、要チェックです。
わらび餅やパフェ、夏はかき氷が人気のようですよ^ ^
清水寺周辺は観光客でごった返していますが、こちらのカフェでは落ち着いて静かに過ごすことができるという口コミが多数寄せられていました。
旅の最後に購入するなら、JR京都駅直結の「地下街ポルタ店」がオススメです。
直営店の他にも、JR京都駅の1階中央改札前と2階西口改札前にある「おみやげ街道」、2階西口改札内にある「アントマルシェ」の3箇所で取り扱いがあるようです。

What is “Kyo Langue Vert”?
“Kyō Langue Vert” is a Kyoto-exclusive confectionery that made its debut in the spring of 2024.
Since it’s a relatively new product, there are probably still many people who haven’t tried it yet… which makes it a perfect gift that’s sure to please.
What makes “Kyō Langue Vert” truly remarkable is that its langue de chat biscuits are made with the premium Uji matcha called Fumon.
Fumon is supervised by Yasuyuki Suda, a tea master who holds the highest rank of “10-dan,” and it’s crafted from carefully selected first-picked tea leaves with a focus on umami, bitterness, and color.
What’s more, this luxurious matcha is used in double the usual amount, which is astonishing.
If you love matcha, this is definitely something you’ll want to try!
Sandwiched between the rich matcha langue de chat is an equally rich caramel chocolate.
Take a bite, and smooth caramel flows out.
To be honest, it far exceeds the level one would normally expect from the word “souvenir.”
You’ll definitely want to experience this delight for yourself!

The shelf life of “Kyo Langue Vert” is approximately 20 days from the manufacture date.
Please store at room temperature, avoiding high heat and direct sunlight.
How many are in a pack?
Since “Kyo Langue Vert” are individually wrapped, they can be shared with everyone.
They are sold in packs, 4,6 and 10.
The green packaging, inspired by kare-sansui (Japanese rock gardens), gives off a distinctly Kyoto feel.
It also has an elegant, luxurious look, so I think it’s a souvenir that would be well-received even if you give just one piece.
When I purchased it in 2025, a box of four was priced at 810 yen (tax included).
So as a souvenir to hand out casually to a large group, it might be a little expensive… I’d say it’s better suited as a gift for someone special.
Where to buy
According to the official website, Fumon-an, the shop that sells “Kyō Langue Vert,” has two directly managed stores in Kyoto City.
Among them, the most recommended is the souvenir shop Fumon-an located right in front of Kiyomizu-dera Temple.
This shop also has an attached café called Fumon Chaya, which is definitely worth checking out.
Their warabi mochi, parfaits, and summer shaved ice seem to be especially popular.
Although the Kiyomizu-dera area is usually packed with tourists, many reviews mention that this café offers a calm and quiet atmosphere where you can relax.
If you’re looking to buy some at the end of your trip, the Kyoto Porta underground shopping mall directly connected to JR Kyoto Station is recommended.
In addition to their directly managed stores, the product is also available at three other locations within JR Kyoto Station: “Omiyage Kaidō” in front of the 1st-floor central ticket gates, “Omiyage Kaidō” in front of the 2nd-floor west ticket gates, and “Anto Marché” inside the 2nd-floor west ticket gates.
