今回は、京都のお土産「京ベリィ」をご紹介します！
定番の京都土産「おたべ」を販売されている「美十」さんが、2024年秋から販売を始めたプレミア感のある新スイーツです♪
This time, I’d like to introduce “KYO BERRY”, a souvenir from Kyoto, Japan.
It’s a new sweet that went on sale in the fall of 2024.
「京ベリィ」とは?
「京ベリィ」は、定番の京都土産「おたべ」を販売されている「美十」さんが2024年秋に新発売したスイーツです。
見た目は普通の生八ツ橋のような形をしているのですが、今までの「生八ツ橋」が米粉を使って作られているのに対し、この「京ベリィ」の生地はわらび餅仕立てとなっています。
そのため、食感がみずみずしく、ぷるっぷるなのです……！
さらに、中には餡子ではなく、果実感あふれるイチゴのコンフィチュールが入っています。
とろーり濃厚なのに甘ったるくないので、いくらでも食べられそうです……
ニッキや抹茶、餡子が苦手で、生八ツ橋があまり好きではない……という人や、小さなお子様にも、この「京ベリィ」はオススメです。
京都土産の新定番になりそうな予感がします^ ^
賞味期限は?
「京ベリィ」の賞味期限は、出荷日を含む約8日間とのことです。
従来の生八ツ橋の賞味期限が10日前後なので、大体同じくらいか、多少短めと考えて良さそうです。
あまり日持ちはしない商品なので、お土産にする場合は早めに配った方が良さそうですね。
個包装?何個入り?
「京ベリィ」は、便利な個包装の8個入りです。
濃い紅色と金色を基調とした個包装のパッケージはプレミア感・高級感があるので、職場などで一個ずつ配っても充分見栄えがしそうです♪
どこで買えるの?
「京ベリィ」は、京都市内のおたべ本館や嵐山店、清水坂店などの観光地にある直営店で購入することができます。
筆者は京都ポルタにあるおみやげ小路で購入しましたが、こちらの店舗は京都駅に直結しているので便利でしたよ^ ^
関西の各空港にも、取り扱いがあるそうです。

What is “KYO BERRY” ?
“KYO BERRY” is a new sweet released in the fall of 2024 by “Bijuu,” the same company that makes the classic Kyoto souvenir “Otabe.”
At first glance, it looks like an ordinary nama-yatsuhashi (a type of soft, mochi-like sweet), but unlike traditional ones made with rice flour, Kyoberry uses warabi mochi-style dough.
That’s why the texture is so fresh and delightfully jiggly… it’s irresistibly soft and bouncy!
Instead of the usual red bean paste filling, it’s packed with a rich strawberry confiture bursting with fruity flavor.
It’s thick and luscious, yet not overly sweet—so you might just find yourself eating more than you planned!
If you’re not a fan of nikki (cinnamon), matcha, or anko (red bean paste), and haven’t really enjoyed traditional nama-yatsuhashi, Kyoberry is highly recommended.
Even small children will likely love it!
It feels like this could become the new go-to Kyoto souvenir! ^ ^
Best-by date
The shelf life of “KYO BERRY” is approximately 8 days from the shipping date.
It can be stored at room temperature, but please note that the shelf life is relatively short.
How many are in a pack?
Since “KYO BERRY” are individually wrapped, they can be shared with everyone.
The individual packaging, featuring deep crimson and gold tones, is elegant, making each piece look impressive even when given out one by one!
Locations and Payment methods
“Kyoberry” can be purchased at directly managed stores located in popular sightseeing spots in Kyoto, such as the Otabe Main Store, the Arashiyama Store, and the Kiyomizuzaka Store.
I bought mine at the “Omiyage Koji” in Kyoto Porta, which is super convenient since it’s directly connected to Kyoto Station.
It’s also said to be available at various airports across the Kansai region.
Credit cards can be used at many stores.
